I'm Felipe.
Mexican by birth, I have had the opportunity to live and enjoy different cities and with this different ways of seeing and conceiving the world: Mexico City, Philadelphia, PA, currently I llive in the City of Miami, Fl. USA.
Architect and Landscape Architect by profession and Photographer by conviction, I have dedicated the past 10 years trying to see and understand the world in a different way: through the lens of my camera, taking every opportunity I have had in recent years during my trips, that I have been able to do. And of which I have tried to show here briefly.

Where I come from....
I was born in Mexico City, a little bit over 50 years ago when the way of seeing the world and communicating with it was limited in the best of the cases to a black and white television, the regular mail and a good newspaper. Technology as we know it today had not reached the Mexico of my childhood and the world of photography was limited to a roll of film with 36 photographs of which you only had one shot and you had to wait at least a week for it to be developed. We have changed a lot in everything and with it the way of seeing and relating in this world since those days.
What has not changed in the Mexico where I come from is the diversity of colors, shapes, smells, flavors, cultures, etc. roots that are inside me, and that enriched my way of being as a person and my daily search as a photographer.
What I look as a photographer....
What my lens seeks is the difference in what surrounds me, the essence of something beyond the superficiality of what my eyes can see with the naked eye. It can be from a detail in an immense landscape, the colors in a sunset, the shapes produced by everyday life such as the breaking of the waves, the water falling or the stones on a path.
In everything that surrounds us there are unique and minimal details that we sometimes fail to perceive and marvel at and that is what my lens likes to photograph.
The Process

Connections
Every process of creation begins with the understanding of how we connect and reconnect ourselves with our roots and our personal experiences. We can not create if we do not understand how to make this connections.
Understand who you are.

Concept
A concept is the most difficult part of the creation process, we never now how or when it comes but when you find it, gives sense and coherence to the final product of your work.
Always open your eyes.

Creation
What you create not always is understood by everybody or people understand what was the concept you had, but what has to satisfy you is that this process of creation fulfills your feelings, and your expectations.
